TRAINING PROVIDER/ADMINISTRATOR

Grey’s Training & Certification Center formerly known as Grey’s Typing & Computer Services is an approved center through the Grenada National Training Agency; Ministry of Education and Incorporated Phonographic Society of England.

The Institution has taken advantage of the opportunity to upgrade its facilities to meet the growing demand for training services. This noble institution started in 1987 as a typing school with six small typewriters. Today we have expanded our capacity to offer a range of National Vocational Qualification NVQ, Caribbean Vocational Qualifications courses /CVQ and other Microsoft office courses, QuickBooks.

These training Programs include Custom Services, Customer Service, Accounting Clerk, Administrative Assistant 3, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Payroll Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, Paralegal Services, Business Administration, General Office Administration, Graphic Design, and Teacher Assistant etc.

Grey’s Training & Certification Center commitment and dedication to the development of education in Grenada enabled our candidates to be very competitive in the job market. The institution has been in operation for the past 36 years and has built a solid reputation of candidates’ success and continues to contribute to the work skills improvement of many persons in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique and the region.

In 2019 the institution recorded its greatest achievement when it expanded its operations and relocated to its own facility on H.A. Blaize Street. St. George’s.

Over the years the institution conducted training for the Ministry of Youth (IMANI), MAREP, Ministry of Education, GRENROP, OECS Skills for Inclusive Growth through The National Training Agency and other private entities, the wider communities including the churches.

In 2021, we have trained 90 participants for the Ministry of Youth. Presently, we are training 130 participants in the areas of Accounting Clerk, Functional Skills, Customer Service, Paralegal and Administrative Assistant for the Ministry of Youth.

 

THE NATIONAL TRAINING AGENCY (NTA)

The role of the NTA

    • They Certify persons in NVQ/CVQ
    • The also Train Instructors, Assessors
  • To develop, implement and maintain a National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Plan that will create a workforce that is competent, certified, innovative, enterprising and entrepreneurial for Local, Regional and International Markets.
  • To establish and maintain a National TVET System to harmonize, standardize, monitor and evaluate all formal and non-formal national training efforts in TVET within the Tri-Island State.
  • To continually assess and provide relevant information on TVET and workforce development, which includes the demand for and supply of human resources in collaboration with state and other agencies.
  • To assist, support and encourage the development of training programs designed to develop innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship in the nation’s human resources.
  • To develop a structured and active system of communication and partnership with stakeholders to ensure continued relevance and value of the Agency’s products and services.

GREY'S TRAINING & CERTIFICATION CENTER formerly known as GREY’S TYPING & COMPUTER SERVICES formerly known as GREY’S TYPING SCHOOL commenced its operation on 1st July, 1987 at Richmond Hill in the parish of St. George’s.

The institution has built a solid reputation of student’s success and has contributed to the work skills improvement of many persons in Grenada.
